The Coursework rant

I'm gonna get straight to it, coursework is so completely pointless and evil it could only have been designed by Satan himself. You're given a vague objective at best, to write to a mark scheme that no-one seems to actually have a concrete idea of, you're ordered to come out with a masterpiece that puts people 40 years older than you to shame. You also have no choice but to keep writing, even if someone close to you has died (guess which poems we were studying when that happened, see "Death never really heals")! The sheer quantity is also what really annoys me about coursework, for ICT we were supposed to hand in a stack of A4 paper at least 5cm thick, it doesn't sound like much, but think of how thick an A4 piece of paer is and you start to realise just how big an amount it is. The deadlines are also set 3 weeks before they should be, just so the teachers can have a cup of tea or a cigarette between pieces of coursework, for the ICT coursework, the night before the deadline, I only got an hour and a half of sleep, by accident! and had to spend the rest of the night and most of the morning slouched over my computer trying to cram 6 months of work into 6 hours. This brings me onto my next point, that coursework is handed out with little or no regard to other subjects, or even the following homeworks that that teacher will also hand out.

Hopefully, after reading this, you will agree that coursework should be abolished completely, in order to save the sanity and health of future generations.

Bring the Rain

Most people like sunshine, but me, I prefer being out in the rain. Most people will hurry up what they're doing or walk under some shelter, I'll actually slow down and savour the feeling of the rain on my skin, washing away my troubles ( and of course that name ) even if it's just for a moment. Don't get me wrong, I'll be off home like a gunshot if I get soaked down to the bone, but when it's a drizzle just cooling you down rather than drowning you, the feeling I get is part of what gets me through the year, that and my Playstation 3 ( where that has only been mentioned once ). Sorry it's taken me so long to make another post, but my computer spazzed up completely and I'm currently typing away on my new laptop (huzzah!) which my 16th birthday present from my parents ( they aren't as sweet as they are on TV, it turns out). Will come up with my Coursework ranting post soon.
